For all the concern, the team is basically the same offensively with and without him on the court: 112.8 pp100 with, and 112.6 without.

The defensive numbers are what you'd hope to see: 107/114 (meaning the Celts give up 7 fewer points per 100 possessions with him on the court).

Thus, he's a +7.4 overall, in "net on/off." The Celts beat their opponents handily with him on the floor, relative to off.

And, this is much better than the numbers for the other two backcourt mainstays.

Isaiah's offense on/off is 117/105, which is great. Offset by the defense which is 113/103, which gives him a net on/off pf +1.1.

The other backcourt regular, Bradley, has offensive numbers that are a wash at 112/114, and defensive numbers that are negative at 112/107. He ends up a -6.6 in net on/off.

Smart can't shoot, but the team scores just fine with him on the court - just as well as it does with AB on the court, in fact. And on the other side, the difference is immense.

But for all that...yeah. If he can get those percentages up just a bit, to something like 42%/33%, then he's all that more valuable.
