All the reports I've seen where that the Nets wanted (2) 1st round picks for Lopez (both Stein and The Vertical). Can't believe they've come down this much so quickly.

I agree with other posters - NO is floating this out there

They are 99.5% chance of finishing season with the worst record.

Evans, Galloway, Frazier, 2018 protected 1st for Lopez is basic framework

The link you provided doesn't say that the trade proposal has picked up traction.  It just says they've talked and those were the people being offered nothing more....

That's a dumb trade for Pelican.  They want you g guys who can push the ball.  Not a slow lumbering Dino with no defense.

It s good for Celtics ......just adding more trash to to the heap in Brooklyn

It's pretty much out there that they want an offensive center to pair with AD (hence the interest in Jahlil Okafor and Lopez). AD has been vocal that he doesn't want to play the 5.

NO would honestly be better off making a trade for KO (if the Cs don't have 'real' plans on re-signing him). He is an offensive center who can at least cover his position and the pick n roll. Okafor and Lopez are just frightening on the defensive end.

  • The Truth
If this rumor is true, then I'm guessing the Pelicans lost out on Okafor.

Or somebody in New Orleans floated the rumor to put pressure on the 76ers.

Very possible, indeed. You are thinking like a GM! I like that. TP-Good insight ;)
