Well there's one less trade target before the deadline.

Not that I expected him to be here by the trade deadline anyways.

Divac says he hopes Cousins is with the team long term and they still plan to give him the extension.

From what I've heard from the guys who really know what they're talking about (Lowe, Pelton, Simmons, Bulpett, etc.) the 2017 Pick is not going anywhere. Thankfully, it sounds like Danny's not moving it. That means no Boogie...even if Sacramento comes to its senses.

Why is there even a need to say this. Giving anyone the #1 pick in the draft for a rental is more than GM malpractice it is outright fraud. I don't think we need Cousins. If we get Fultz and we can get Noel we are good to go. Don't break the bank for Cousins, Danny. You have the assets to build a dynasty here, don't waste it.

And it could ultimately be for the best. I certainly would want him here, but he's definitely not without significant risk. There's no guarantee that he buys into the system, and he'd cost a ton to get. And I have SERIOUS worries about the defensive fit of Boogie and Al in the frontcourt, so it's not like it was a perfect fit all around.

With the Cavs/Anthony/Love drama and the potential for an Ibaka or Milsap trade and/or free agent signing, I think there's probably better options elsewhere that make  more sense for both the short-term and long-term.

Part of the reason Kings will not trade Cousins is Vlade and Shaq. They are big men who must appreciate the big man.

Shaq as one of the best bigs that ever played as a deep appreciation for Boogie, and I am sure he is a lobbying force to keep him in Sacramento. These teams that run their personnel on emotions are the reason Boston fans should appreciate Danny.

Does anyone seriously believe Cousins would ever be on a trade market? Because I do.

I think Cousins will win one or two playoff series by himself. But I don't think their getting out of the first round, without getting Cousins some serious help.

Kings have squandered so many assets. They might as well tank, and get the 1st pick from us to usher in Fultz as their franchise point guard.
