Man, these two guys both look very good. They both should have excellent NBA careers.
Some smaller things I love about Lonzo:
-You can tell this kid LOVES to play basketball. He has fun playing and infuses fun into his teammates. He is the kind of guy who could create a GSW-like team atmosphere the way Curry did before Durant came.
-He has a terrific springy knack for the ball. He sees loose balls the moment they are about to occur and immediately accelerates towards them. Same with rebounds.
-I like the way he takes off down the court when he anticipates a teammate is about to get a loose ball or rebound. He is occasionally wrong which leaves his team out to dry, but I like the instinct.
-Terrific zip on his passes. He also does a very good job not broadcasting where his passes are about to go.
Things I don't like about him:
-I don't think he shoots enough. I like that and I don't like it.
-His defense leaves a bit to be desired. He gambles too much. But honestly, I've been coming around to the idea lately that point guard is so hard to defend in the NBA I almost don't mind a gambling defender if it pays off decently, which it seems to for Lonzo.
Part of me is thinking, how cool would it be for Phoenix to get Ball? A core of Ball, Devin Booker, TJ Warren, Chriss, and Bender would be really cool.
