Per Chad Ford (who has this 7 footer climbing from 28 to 18 in his latest big board):

"Hartenstein impressed scouts with a strong showing at the FIBA under-18 European championships, averaging 14.7 PPG, 9.5 RPG and 3.5 APG in around 25 MPG. Most NBA scouts said he was the second-best prospect there, after Ntilikina.

He's got that coveted combination of athleticism and size. He can score from anywhere on the floor, and he rebounds and defends well.

He can be a bit volatile and his game is still a major work in progress, but several scouts who went to the tournament came away feeling he could end up in the 13 to 20 range on draft night."

Take a look at some video of this kid on DraftExpress (which currently has him going 13th).  That first step of his is really quick, can't remember seeing a guy with that size having such a quick first step, other than Towns and maybe Embiid.  He seems a little cocky in his interview, which I like.  Could see him fitting very well in our system down the road. Obviously the last thing we need is another draft pick. Still, if we end up consolidating assets by the trade deadline, or on draft day, would not mind figuring out a way to draft him.

Hope to hear from our European bloggers who are more familiar with this kid, and his prospects as an NBA player.
