It is going to be up to common sense republicans to try and keep trump in check.  There are some very good ones in senate but seems like a lot will follow like lemlings as long as trump "says" he is a republican.
They will sell any moral value in order to remove healthcare from nondeservings and decrease wealth taxes. Kneel to the $$$ because anything else is secondary and available to sacrifice for that.

Iraqi war veterans p---ed that their comrades are being detained and possibly thrown in the can for the time being.

"“The idea that we could be detaining Iraqi interpreters who put their lives on the line to help troops like myself in Iraq is disgraceful,” said Jon Soltz, a vet and the chairman of VoteVets, in a statement. “Not only does this not do anything to protect America, but it now sends the message that even if you put your life on the line to help America, if you are Muslim we don’t want you here.”"

This. Good luck getting anyone in the Middle East to help you now.

It is unconstitutional to discriminate based on religion. I am surprised this hasn't been legally challenged yet. It is discrimination based on religion, because christians from those countries can still come to the US.
There's a simple answer to that. Christians are not becoming radical terrorist in that region.

This is not a ban on Muslims. It's a preventive measure to keep radical terrorist out of our countries.

Dylan Roof was a radicalized christian, Lutheran.

The KKK claim to be christian also.

"Claim" being the key word.

Oh, but when ISIS "claim" to be Muslim, it's different?

My hope is that not all Republican politicians are that way. There are several who seem like good people with strong moral values, and these used to be the core values of their own party at one point in the past. Hopefully enough of them get some courage to stand up to Trump and speak out against these actions like Romney and Cheney did.

Dylan Roof has killed more Americans, than all of the terrorists from the 7 banned counties combined (since 1975 zero) I guess we should ban South Carolinians from entering the rest of the US.

This has Steve Bannon written all over it. That is a scary man, and he is one of the most important chairs in the White House. The Republican party needs to step up, the legistative branch need to step in. There is a reason why checks and balances are in place...

My guess Trump has promised everyone in the Republican Party a life full of luxury to keep their mouths shut and their votes in their pockets. We need decent people to see past that to put a quick end to this tyranny.

Thank you! This ban is nothing more than racism, disguised as "protection for our nation."

For the record, the ALCU is sueing Trump because of this...as they should

This really is unbelievably pathetic. Because of this we are less safe today than we were two days ago...

You know who was unlikely to resent us? A resettled refuge, never knowing which one could become a new einstein. You know who might resent us? A desparate refuge that is turned away at the border to return to a war torn area. Which is more likely to be successfully recruited by an extremist organization?

This is far too complicated for a lot of people in this country to understand unfortunately. They like their little bubble of a world.

I didn't vote for or like Trump but he is doing everything he said he was going to do. We're people not paying attention?
