I like it.

You get more games of the top teams against each other during the regular season.

The elimination of groups also reduces the importance of luck.

Standings at the end of Round 22. All teams have 22 games. There still are eight rounds.

Note that after the first playoff round (best of five), you have the Final Four in Istanbul. So, although it is good to finish in the first four to have home court advantage, the difference between finishing first and fourth is not as big as in the NBA.

Panathinaikos is  competing with Fenerbahce for the 4th seed.  Darussafaka is trying to get to the 8th seed - not that getting a bit higher and avoiding Real and CSKA in the playoffs would hurt.

After losing to Galatasaray on February 10, Barcelona is in big trouble.

Below are the games of round 23:

Real-Darussafaka is the most interesting IMO: you have Zizic and Doncic, good rosters, and both teams having an incentive.

Anadolu Efes- Baskonia is another good one, mainly because these two are very close on the standings.

And now for another awfuly late update  :P

Results at the end of Round 23.

Darussafaka did not make it against Real, and Anadolu got the W in the critical game against Baskonia.

Full results here.

And here is Round 24.

Note that the same format as in soccer is used, ie the host is cited first. For example, Darussafaka plays in Istanbul against Panathinaikos.

Now a post specifically about Darussafaka's chances of getting the 8th seed.

Here are the remaining games:

I'm a Panathinaikos fan, but I really hope Zizic and the rest of the gang make it this time. If they lose, their chances will start looking slim.

For future reference, here are the tiebreakers:

Darussafaka qualified as 8th and is now playing against Doncic's Real Madrid.

That was close btw, Belgrade's Red Star had the same number of wins as Darussafaka.

(something like a) Playoff bracket can be found here

First game is at Madrid, April 19, at 2100 Central European Time.

Olympiacos beat Efes today, so we now know the four teams of the Final 4.

I'm copying a part of my post in Luka Doncic thread to here.

FENERBAHCE ISTANBUL-
REAL MADRID-
MAY 19 20:30 CET

SEMIFINAL B
CSKA MOSCOW-

Top players to watch in Fener - Madrid game:

Fener:
Bogdanovic (leader of the team, Kings stash and all-Euroleague)
Udoh (heart of the team, ex-NBA, also all-Euroleague)
Dixon (5' 10" PG, never takes a step back, similar persona to IT)

Madrid:
Llull (leader, possible to move to NBA, also all-Euroleague)
Doncic (youngest ever Euroleague Rising Star)
Randolph (ex-NBA, you know the guy)

No need to watch the final4..... Olimpiacos is going to win it!  Spanoulis lifted the trophy 3 times. Everytime his wife was pregnant... Guess what... Spanoulis will be father again and apparently euro league winner 😁😁😁

On a more basketball related note both semis are very interesting. Real and Cska are the best teams this season, fener plays at home and more importantly Obradovic is the coach and olimpiacos has proved that they thrive as the underdogs

Sad that Zizic couldn't lead his team to a win. Btw is Doncic that special?
