2 vs CLE
2 vs TOR
2 vs OKC
2 vs SA
1 vs GS
1 vs HOU

These teams combined record is 171-69 (71%WP)

Celts are 25-5 against rest of the league.

I see this in 2 ways really:
-We are a very good team.
-As good as were are, we cant win a 7 game series against title contenders.

Good news is, no need to panic or do anything harsh. Stay the course, draft well, and our team is right there.

Proud to be a C's fan!

Almost all of those Ls came at the expense of an important rotational player being injured.
Not saying we could have won but its just good to see we are still competitive in those losses except for the GS one despite being decimated with injuries.

Id also note that the IT we are witnessing now is completely different from the IT of just a month ago.

Again I will not pass judgement yet on this team until we meet these ballclubs again at full strength...no excuses.

Two starters missing (Al and Jae) - GS, Cleveland

One starter missing (IT) - Tor, OKC, SAS

One starter missing (AB) - Tor

Other losses by points - SAS (6), Houston (1), OKC (5), Cleveland (8 )

Given our injuries and the context of us playing these teams early in the season around all of the injuries and during our difficult road-heavy schedule, this isn't too bad of a record. Including the injury games, the GS game was the only one that wasn't a close game in the final minutes. Hell, we technically shouldn't have lost to Houston because the refs' review screwed us over by wrongly reviewing AB's 3 as a 2, which would've made it a tie game.

If it wasn't for injuries, which also pushed back us developing chemistry, we probably take half of these games.

Just another way of saying the C's have difficulty with teams over 0.600 WP.  No new perspective here.

The team is trending up and the big reason is because of IT4's recent play.

We are a much better team now then the team that lost a lot of those early season games.

I hate to agree but this is where the team is. This team can make it to the ECF but will not get past the Cavs in 7 games. Barring injuries to the Cavs I suspect this will be the case for everyone in the east until Lebron starts to decline as a player.

This is the driving force behind why DA need to play both sides of the fence in regards to contending and rebuilding.

There's clearly a gap in talent there but we luckily have the assets to address it. Superstar X is just around that corner now.

who was missing from those other teams in those games?  I seem to recall SAS playing without Aldridge in one of the games, Toronto hasn't had Sullinger all year and was without Carroll in one of the games, JR Smith was out for the 2nd Cavs game, etc.

I feel like one of these is not like the others.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

We are getting better.
Specifically Olynyk, Smart, and Brown.

Also:  Amir missed most of the second half of the 2nd TOR game after turning his ankle.  That was a key turning point in that game, if you examine the DFGA stats.

Is this where the false equivalency of Patrick Patterson comes into play again?  ;)

I'm still salty over the loss against the Rockets when Horford blew the wide open layup but I ain't complaining about our record though!
