How did the Celts shoot from three in those games?

We can trade for Bogut, but Ainge isn't trading assets for a good rebounding big. We're not going anywhere this year, no point in crying about it.

Smart still can't shoot. He needs to play better, seriously. It's his third year, time to be more efficient. He also hasn't been great in the P&R. Can't get past his man. Some people had him as an all star...  Horford has been lacking on D. IT has been amazing. Proved me and a lot of us wrong. Rozier needs more time, but he looked fine to me tonight. People just need a scapegoat for the lack of defense. I mean what does 2nd chance points have to do with Rozier? Nope, let's blame a 2nd year player, then don't give him credit for his positive play in the 2nd half.

Rozier is among the least of this team's concerns. The defense is hemorrhaging points like the 1980s Nuggets.

Poorly compared to their wins, but what's your point? Everyone knows that their reliance on the three ball is an issue, too, but I think their rebounding and defensive issues are just as much of an issue if not more.

I guess my point is we've been hot as all heck from three lately, I think that's been somewhat overlooked in this "run," that some of that shooting has been unsustainable.

Good shooting + amazing IT have led to a good run. I put tonight's loss on Horford. He was 2-14 for 5 points in 34 minutes. Horford seemed to kill the momentum that the Celtics were building in the second quarter when it seemed like he missed a million shots in a row. He also let Marcus Smart body the paint for rebounds while standing by the free throw line too many times.

Oh, I agree, and that's part of why I've been saying this approach of simply trying to outscore other teams is faulty and won't work for us.

We need to get back to our roots of being a disruptive, defensive team if we ever want to make any noise in the playoffs with this current group. That's a much more sustainable path to consistent winning than merely trying to "out-offense" other teams that generally have more offensive talent than us.

Agreed.  I wonder if the defense and rebounding issues are more Brad/FO-related than a lack of ability.  I'm sure there are a lot of trade rumors around the league, even though none have gotten done.

I haven't seen the match yet, but this looks like a very frustrating loss. While Toronto was Losing to Philly we couldn't grab a win at home against an ill team ? Because of lack of effort ?!

That's the king of games we will remember when we face Cleveland in the second round of playoffs (With the loss against Denver and @Nola i think. Oh and add that lay-up in Houston).

Yes. But it's virtually impossible to win games when you give up that many. We scored well...

I thought we played flat the whole game.   I think we took the night off and it cost us.  We shot very poorly.  How many games do people expect to win shooting 39% from the field and 27% from downtown?  This is in addition to the getting outrebounded 57-33 and our bench really not helping much though Brown looked decent.

I thought we played casually and tried to make a comeback in the fourth.   We are not a good enough team to pull that nonsense.   We need effort all four quarters.

Last nights loss is on CBS

The starting unit did not match up vs against knicks starting unit the whole game.  Why not trust some other guys to finish the game

KO, Brown should have finished the game
