Clippers are still DEFINITELY making the postseason lol.

They are 11 games above Portland, and Portland it tied for the 8 seed right now.

Huge disparity between 7 and 8 seed (OKC > POR by 7 games)

This is not bad for us, by the way. There are a whole bunch of teams (SAC, DEN, NOP) who could start tanking but are actually capable of making the playoffs because it looks like 34 wins might get you the 8th seed.

Heck, at 14-27 Minny is only 3 games out.
Minny and philly will be making strides second half of season.

I'd like to see CP3 with New Orleans again.

Add CP3 and another free agent alongside Anthony Davis.

Please tell me how that's not a Top-5 playoff team in the West.

Paul's game will translate well as he ages, see andre miller, paul pierce
But i think as i stated in my original post.  I don't see him doing it in clippers uni.  Think Oscar in Milwaukee sort of scenario.

Even if they get everyone healthy..the playoffs are a different beast and with CP and Griffin just returning from injury, they wont be in competitive form...look at AB he just missed 5 games and he is fully desynchonized offfensively...its not gonna happen, the Clipps will fall on round one...again.

doubt it.  If Paul doesn't stay in LA , he could pull a Durant and sign with ...  maybe the Spurs

who knows. This is the direction the NBA is heading at

Clippers curse?

At this point I think it's more likely than not he ends up on the same list as Barkley, StocktontoMalone and Ewing.

Not a list you want to be on.
I'd like to be on that list!

There's a lot worse lists to be on.  Great players whose teams came up just a little short is nothing to be ashamed of.  They're still great players.  And I certainly think Paul is a great player.

Nah, even 8 weeks takes you to the middle of March.  They could still have a full healthy month to get back in sync.  That won't be a problem, as long as this is their last significant injury of the season.  Given how the past two years have gone, that's likely not the case.

In other ways this is good for the Celtics, we play the Clippers twice in the next 7 weeks, so if it's 8 weeks instead of 6 we'd miss him both times, which shouldn't hurt our chances to win games.  We also have their second round pick, which while still of low value, has probably just become slightly better.

This means Austin Rivers will get his chance to run the team under Doc's guidance. Austin has actually looked great so far this season.

I bet Doc wishes he was back with the Celtics.

do we ever go more than one season without a clipper pick in our arsenal.
