one of the most overrated player in the league

can't shoot nor defend

kind of a bust if  you think about it. Was suppose to be a legend even before playing a nba game
He's actually a plus defender, but you are right about his shot.

Decent team defender and rebounder. But have also seen enough pgs drive by him without much fuss

The shooting is a problem though. Because he lacks the extra gear and is not very explosive to finish around the basket.  Teams know he is looking to pass as his first option

kind of sounds like a player we used to know..
he is passing to Wiggins towns and Levine. Aren't those better options
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Rubio and Zeller to the Mavs

Curry and Harris to the Wolves

Bogut to the Celtics

That makes almost too much sense.

That's... a good trade.

Yeah kudos. Sprinkle a random 2nd or two in there and it could be a real-life deal.

Still not likely to happen but I'm sure Danny's got his nose in any chatter trying to get something like this going.

I think the Wolves would decline.

Rubio actually is a great defender. 3rd in the league in Defensive real plus minus for pointguards.

But yes he is a poor shooter.

Don't mess with his rant with your silly facts.

If they're looking to dump and the random picks go their way I could see it. Deal saves like $25 million in salary.

Harris is a pretty good veteran pick-and-roll guy that could start while Dunn develops. He can play on and off ball. Very underrated pro.

Curry is a shooter, which they could use some more of.

In the end, it's about the rebuild. It's about finding Rubio a home to open the court  a little more.

You do realize that the Mavs' Curry is the slow Curry brother without passing or ball-handling ability? The one who struggled to make a roster until this season with the Mavs?

You do also realize that the Mavs would have Rubio, Barea, Matthews, Anderson, and Williams to play guard?

Curry is a nice player who is playing well this year, but if the Mavs really believed that Rubio could be a second coming of Kidd (lite version), then it makes sense to trade a redundant bench one-dimensional player.

That said, either the Celtics need to send something to the Wolves or the Wolves something to the Celtics, or the trade is illegal.

when did that happen?

A few years ago.  Each team needs to touch two other teams in a 3+ team trade.  Either a player, a draft pick that will convey (so none of that top-55 stuff), $750,000, or draft rights to an "active" player.  Marcus Thornton would count if you think the Celtics need to send someone, but it's a rule all the same.

Yeah I don't get Rubio. Poor man's Rondo. Is he what a rebuilding team is looking for?

I think an established team (LAC, SAS) would rather have him come off the bench.
