I apologize if somebody already posted this somewhere but I didn't see a thread so figured I start one

so yesterday, I'm sure most of you guys caught Jaylen Brown's MLK speech during the pre-game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hm2pgWvcCeU

Just wanted to say I really like how well he carried himself. I think he's gonna be a great leader on the Celtics someday and I definitely see him making a difference in the community as well. Very very smart kid. I love what I am seeing from him.

I think it's worth noting that everyone in the Garden, not only the fans but the players also cheered the speech. I think it's kind of powerful and also shows how intelligent Brown is.

said it last night. I hope he becomes a star, he will be such a good ambassador, for Boston and the NBA.

I can't see right now since am at work ATM. I'll def check it out. I always wanted to hear a little more about Jaylen the revolutionary.

He is the Huey Freeman to Smart's Riley.

He was nervous, but it was beautiful. I think this kid has a real nice soul. I am so a fan of his.  I hope he achieves on every level. So glad we drafted him!!!

Brown is very mature and has a positive personality.

I do wonder sometimes if DA recent draftees focus too much on personality...
just wondering out loud... I don't know what i would do, but curious at how he measures personality vs talent.

very intelligent, captures key points, vaguely connnected MLK today's needs, honest, sincere, and painfully unpracticed as a public speaker.

fortunately, the last point can most certainly be overcome.  ;D

i like the kid.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

You have to consider both. You don't want Michael Beasleys or OJ Mayos of the world. All talent, terrible mindset. Reason Im also skeptical about Ball, Fultz and Tatum.

He did great job, only one sign of him faltering/being nervous and best of all this isn't a college grad.  He's a kid.

He seemed a little nervous, but very sincere. It was a great message for everyone to hear and a great opportunity for Jaylen to deliver it to such a large audience.
