If he is available, isn't Vucevic the perfect option for what the Cs need to compete with Cleveland?

26 years old, controlled for two more years @ $12M/year.  Career PER of 19.  One of the best defensive rebounders in basketball.  Huge guy with offensive polish.

What would it take to get him?  My guess is there at least the 2018 BK pick if Smart/Brown are not included.  Would they take Zeller, Olynyk, 2018 BK and the Cs 2018 1st?

it would be easier to just start with a 10 point deficit of Points in the Paint.

The absurdity of this thought made me laugh. Ainge and CBS literally saying, "Instead of starting Vucevic, he'll be in street clothes today and we will just start down by 10."

How can a player of Vucevics level be worth a Brooklyn pick? Are we just giving them away now?? He's not even a top 50 player in the league.

If you're trading for him it's more along the lines of Vucevic and Hezonja for KO and Rozier and BOS 18

Yeah, I don't understand how people think the 2018 Brooklyn pick is much more available than the 2017 pick.  The Nets are terrible, and there's little reason to believe they'll significantly improve next year.

He's slow and plodding on defense.

We're talking about the center of Orlando? Am I misspelling his name? Because for that guy it's NBA basketball. If that guy bumped into Horford he's say "Here's a hundred dollars. Go buy a rebound" and Horford would say "Please sir. I need more."

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
He's mediocre at best. Average to below average defender. Poor pick and roll defender.
Basically a poor man's Horford.

No thanks.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

It's a difficult argument to make on a night that Horford has an efficient 18/5/4.  I probably wouldn't trade a BKN pick for Horford either though.

You guys do realize KO routinely outplays Al Horford right? And that Vuc is better than KO.
