Dragic is a starter-quality PG who chafed having to share / defer minutes with Bledsoe and Thomas when the three were at Phoenix. He made it very clear he wasn't happy there. There are some indications he and Thomas have a bit of edginess to their relationship stemming from that situation. He's not likely to be thrilled to be put on the bench. It's very debatable whether replacing Amir with Whiteside helps you out as much as replacing Crowder & AB with Brown & Smart hurts you, at least in the near term. It might work better in the long run, but it's pretty risky gamble at your 2 & 3 for what you are getting at the 5.The outside shooting would take a huge nose-dive. Amir, Jae & Avery are collectively shooting lights-out from beyond the arc this year. Whiteside, Brown and Smart ... are not.Even if the whole nets out as 'better', I just don't see the result as being at 'another level'. It looks more different than better.I'll pass, thanks.
Trade ideaTo Heat: Crowder, AB, Young, Rozier, Zeller, Amir, 2017 1stTo Celts: Dragic, Whiteside, McGruder, Richardson, Babbitt, 2017 heat 2nd round pickCelts lineupWhitesideHorfordBrownSmart IT4KOJerebkoGreenDragicJacksonYay or nay? Chances vs cavs/warriors/spurs?
No interest in Dragic. What I would do is WhitesideFor2018 Nets pick, Yabusele or Zizic, Zeller and AmirMiami gets a Nets pick and cap relief and Boston gets the rebounding, interior defensive presence they have been sorely lacking.
Would obtaining Whiteside and Dragic take the Celts to another level?
Triboy, you often have interesting trade ideas but this is just awful from Celtic perspective. What happened?
