Think about it. Miami has the 2nd worst record in the league and that is with a 27 year old Whiteside. If Miami is a bottom 3 team its best to blow that thing up and start from scratch. I think a trade like

Boston receives Hassan Whiteside
Miami receives Tyler Zeller, Amir Johnson, rights to Ante Zizic and 2018 Nets 1st.

Miami gets to get young prospects in the 2018 Nets pick and Zizic. They get to get rid of $20 million of their salary cap. The Celtics get a rebounding, shot blocking big man who is the perfect age to blend with this group. Boston also keeps the entire core intact but adds Whiteside and keeps the 2017 Nets pick.

Feels like an overpay. I'd want to try and keep Zizic if giving up the 2018 Nets pick.

Stat stuffer, doesn't move the ball on offense.

Rather take a shot at Larry sanders on min contract...

Yes he is a black hole on offense but consider how many of his shots are going to be on alley oops and put back slams. He will be a fifth option so the bsll isnt going to him too often.

But if as a 5th option Whiteside could give this team 12 PPG, 12 RPG, 2.5 BPG this team becomes a team contenders have to take very seriously

It's very possible.

We hear the names Jimmy Butler, DeMarcus Cousins, Andrew Bogut, Nerlens Noel and a bunch of others names a lot here...

But I view ANDRE DRUMMOND and HASSAN WHITESIDE as DARK HORSE TRADE CANDIDATES.

I truthfully don't expect them to move but I think each team will hear out offers for them and that's why they are considered "dark horse" candidates.

I know that's always been the knock on him in the past and that Miami had a better defensive rating when he was off the court. How has he looked this year?

yeah he could.   And then Miami should trade Dragic for Jahlil Okafor and just tank their little hearts out.  If I was running Miami, i'd put a priority on freeing up cap space and collecting young talent and picks.

Miami's already successfully tanking with him, so I don't see the big incentive to unload him right now.

Whiteside had 19 points and 9 rebounds (in 31 minutes).

Miami lost again (Tank Is Real)
