If he keeps his shooting efficiency up and we end up overtaking the Cavs for the 1st seed, he'd have a case.

It's unlikely that anyone on the Warriors win. If the Celtics have a better record than the Cavs, then you could make the case for IT instead of Bron.

Then it's just Harden, Westbrook, or IT. Unfortunately, with the historic offensive season we are seeing so far, it's unlikely that IT overtakes either of them.

That'd be an amazing spot for him honestly. I mean, who's 1st team, Westbrook, Harden, Lebron, Durant and Anthony Davis? That means for 2nd team, he'd beat out guys like Curry, CP3, Kyrie, Klay, Lowry, Derozan, Lillard, Wall, Wade, Walker and Conley for one of the 2 guard spots. That's some stiff competition right there.

That's the rub, for as great a season as Thomas is having, guards are just so good in the NBA.  I think it is more likely that Thomas finishes in the top 5 in MVP voting then Thomas making 1st or 2nd team all NBA.  Even 3rd team won't be easy.  I see the MVP as more a stat based award and All NBA Teams as more who is better type honor.  Thus my reasoning.
