Pretty good vid of mike korzemba hypothesyzing how Carmelo would fit on the Cs and make them become a contender. I would really want carmelo as long as it doesn't take off a brooklyn pick or JB.

Korzemba is proposing a deal for Crowder, Smart, and Johnson.

Not going to happen.

He had his 3 chances in his prime to be a leader on a good contending team.
1. Denver chance (2009 WCF)
2. The "Trade me here!" chance in 2011 (where he skinned his soon-to-be-new-club to get there, even though he could have opted out and sign there next summer)
3. Free agency 2014. (where he settled for the biggest salary and didn't care about his win chances that much)

Now he is an expensive good scorer with suspicious knees and contract length.
That's it.
Not worth the trouble IMO, we need guys 8/12 years younger.

He'd be a nice bench piece. Two years of 27mill? It's just ridiculous.

Suspicious shoulders too.  Didn't know about the knees.

never ever liked the guy, one of the most overrated players of all time, a primadona, no defense
but i would give crowder and amir, throw in rozier as well, but smart would be a deal breaker
melo would never consider playing for boston IMHO

I like the idea of Carmello to Boston.  Who says no?

I think it makes sense for both teams and Melo would love it. Phil Jackson however would never do it. He despises Boston.

Carmelo could help a ton of teams (eg OKC, Clippers) take a major leap if he could just accept that the ball will not work through him anymore.

It COULD work...risky though...how is he physically?  Would he buy into the system?

Another 4th quarter option could help a lot.

And perhaps Carmelo is the primary first half option.

Hard to match that much salary though.

Carmelo's salary gets better every year. Next year Boogie will be making$40 mill per a season. Think of how at $27mill it makes Carmelo a bargain of sorts. How can $27mill be a bargain? It's the NBA.

It's been written numerous times Carmelo doesn't want to be traded ANYWHERE!  He wants to stay a Knick and since he has a no trade clause it's not happening.

Eh. It's not terrible. But not worth the 2017 pick.

Probably more like Crowder or Bradley, 2018 Nets Pick, rights to Yabusele, filler.

Or

IT4 for Melo and Hernangomez.

The trade really centers around incentives for Boston to take the melo contract.
