3 top picks plus one wildcard in case Danny trades down or Nets play too good for their own good in the 2nd half

My list
Fultz
Tatum
Giles

Wildcard
Bridges

Fultz and Giles are two of the best shot creators of the draft.
Giles is a very nice pf prospect but there will always be concerns about his health..

Im a fan of Bridges. One of the top underrated players of the draft imo

I also like Ball. But may not be a good fit under the current roster

Your list

I agree with your top 3. Those are mine as well but why Bridges as the wildcard?

This, basically.  I don't like this draft for the Celtics.  Look at the list of PGs in this league right now and tell me that you have high confidence that Fultz, Ball, Smith, Fox, etc can be stars at their position.  PG play is absolutely incredible in this league right now.  You have guys like Eric Bledsoe and Mike Conley, both quality players, who are outside the top 10.  Isaiah Thomas is scoring 28 per game on fairly efficient shooting but might not be in the top 5.  It's insane.

So unless Giles emerges as a player worthy of the top pick and his medicals check out, I'm looking at every opportunity to trade this pick.

I think he's just turning the corner.  He was just named PAC-12 player of the week.

Fultz

Monk

Giles

Monk looks like Dwayne Wade with a jumpshot to me. Plays no D but looks like he could. He has that crazy confidence of a top level scorer. He can pull up on a dime, playoff the ball, shoot the 3, take it to the hoop. We don't really have a spot for him without a trade but so far he's my guy!

for those advocating josh jackson, here is a very interesting article on his strengths, which are very impressive, and his key weakness, which may be fatal.

Fultz is first then I have 3 guys in my next group Jackson, Monk and Tatum.

Giles has a chance to move into that group.

I've got Dennis Smith Jr. With them in Tier 2 but otherwise I agree with this list.
(for Celtics pick not necessarily in the draft it self)
Tier 1
Markel Fultz

Tier 2
Josh Jackson
Jason Tatum
Malik Monk
Dennis Smith Jr.

Tier 3
Harry Giles
DeAron Fox
Ivan Rabb
Frank Ntilikina

Tier 4
Jonathon Issac
Lonzo Ball
Lauri Marksmen

Wild Card
OG Anunoby

I will eat my hat if Lonzo falls to Pick 11.

Giles has looked pretty bad so far so are those listing him doing so from a projection standpoint?  What do you think he projects as?  He doesn't have the bulk/strength to play center and he hasn't shown much outside shooting yet.

My top 3
Fultz  -  Best all around player.  Defense is questionable but that may be more effort rather than ability.
Jackson  -  High energy.  Excellent defense.  Excellent passing.  Very athletic.  Needs to improve his 3pt and free throw shooting.
Tatum  -  Very solid all around but not really elite at anything.

Wildcard inside top 10
Fox  -  My favorite player in this draft.  Everything you'd want in a PG except really bad 3pt shooting.

Wildcard outside top 10
Robert Williams  -  Very athletic raw prospect at PF/C.  Defense is ahead of offense but keeps looking better.  Looks like everything Triboy keeps hoping Mickey will turn into and he's only 19.

I will eat my hat if Lonzo falls to Pick 11.

I prefaced that this is Celtics fit not where they actually get drafted, I think Lonzo will go higher I just really don't want him anywhere near this team.

California Kid, completely ball dominant, has that low release on his three point shot. Again he's extremely talented, I could easily see a world where he ends up being a quality NBA point guard but I don't want it to be for our team.

Just think you could draft somebody like the DeAaron Fox or Frank Ntilikina and come away with a quality player without having to hand over all ball handling responsibilities.
