Big game.  Very excited for it.  Real bummer Avery isn't playing, but if Smart has another big performance it's all-aboard the "Smart is finally breaking out" hype train.

My man is averaging 15 points, 5.7 assists, 2.7 rebounds, 1 block, 1.3 steal with 52%/62%/100% shooting in 2017.

"Your man"? I'm sorry, but no.  You've made it quite clear for 2.5 seasons that Julius Randle is "your man."

Oh come on SALT. Give "My Man" Lb a break.

I was a Randle guy to on draft day, but then convinced myself that we need a new leader of the team with  Rondo on his way out the door.

That's happening right now and has been. Smart is a leader. If we are about to get in a street fight I want Smart by my side.

Smart is changing opinions every day with his recent play. Keep it up My Dude...

Last time these teams met, Isaiah Thomas did NOT play.

I think IT will have a huge impact this game.

That being said, hopefully this isn't a game where Lowry and DeRozan make every single circus shot like it seemed last time at the TD Garden, especially in the 4th.

My gut feeling tells me Crowder has a good game today as well.

Lowry has been less impact past few games.  The fans are really crying and whining for  him to find his game .  Bulls and rockets sorta shut him down .

So I expect Lowry to have a 45 point night to make it up to the fans.

I HATE raptor basketball.

It is ISO of two players for 48 minutes , they ll score 80-90 points , the rest of the team 20 . Very similar to Rocket basketball .....and LeBron .....just make it up as we go , no plays , little coaching street pickup basketball.

I've actually repeatedly said I still have Smart barely ahead of Randle despite the fact Randle was on the verge of leapfrogging him and most fans outside of Boston/LA would take Randle.  Even now, in Randle's last 5 games he's averaged 17 points, 9.4 rebounds, 6 assists, 1.4 steals with 48%/50%/78% shooting.  Randle is putting up all-star numbers in 2017.  Dude might be breaking out at the same time Smart might be breaking out.  Smart has a 1 year head start on him, but I still have him slightly ahead.

I think it's well known nobody respects Marcus Smart more than I do.  It's great to see my man put up some decent stats.  Hopefully my main man does it again tonight.

IT will do fine on Lowry - he can deal with LeBron backing him down, he can deal with weight watchers Lowry..Will be interesting to see what bench units the boy wonder goes with tonight.

Also - Jared Sullinger is a member of the Toronto Raptors.

High 40's for IT.  Celts stick with the pattern.  Hang right then clamp sheen late.

Should be a good one.

Go Celts!

Anyone heard starting lineups yet? Can't imagine that we stay with Amir if they stay as small as they've been lately with Carroll at the 4.

I've held out hope my main man would eventually break out.  I would LOVE to see a huge game from him tonight.   He's started of 2017 very well.  Maybe it's finally happening.

I was one of the few people that jumped on the chair when the Celtics called Smart on the draft night. Hopefully this is the breakout that we are waiting for.

Leading up to the draft they said there were as many as 8 guys with star potential.  I drove the tank bandwagon that year for that reason.  We ended up with the 6th pick and taking one of the guys widely believed to have star potential (Smart) so I was pretty happy with it.   He's had a rough couple years, but maybe (hopefully) he's finally starting to live up to that potential.   I know a lot of people here have given up on the idea that Smart will ever be a star ... I haven't.
