It's quite possible both could be better as SG/secondary ball-handlers.  They certainly have the size to do it.

No. Lonzo has the size, but his best attribute is his off the Charts BBIQ. Play him at PG.
I think its more about defense here. Can they defend the 2? Isaiah is pretty good off-ball. Im not worried about the offense. The problem would be that Isaiah cant gaurd the 2.

Lonzo won't ever be able to penetrate at an NBA level.  I'd rather have him being an elite off-ball shooter most of the time who you can occasionally run complex set plays through.  Kyle Korver/JJ Reddick with the occasional spurts of Ricky Rubio distribution.
Its my understanding that Balls greatest strength is easily his ability as a floor general. Drafting him primarily to be a 3 point specialist doesnt seem to make sense.

He's a floor general who can't penetrate or finish at the rim at an NBA level.  He can't be a primary ball-handler.

A "three-point specialist" is often considered a role-player, but there's never been a three-point specialist that has the passing ability this guy has.

Imagine this sequence:

Thomas - Horford pick and pop, Ball in the corner -> Thomas penetrates, Johnson off-ball screen for Ball -> Thomas kicks it out to Ball -> Help defense arrives

For most three-point specialists this would be the end of the sequence.  For a guy with Ball's abilities, he could either launch a bullet pass to the completely open Crowder on the far-side corner, or penetrate on a mismatch (since the help defender will almost certainly be a bigger, slower guy).

Ball won't ever fit the mold of a typical superstar PG, but he has the potential to be a completely new kind of superstar if you use him correctly.

I dont know enough about Ball to really talk about this, but if he cant be a primary ball handler than I dont want him. You cant an offense if you are off the ball and his ability as a floor general is the biggest reason he is a top 5 pick.
