Sixers waited way too long to move Noel.
today was a big day for his trade value.

Overall he was good today, but when he got backed down by horford with ease I crossed him off my list of targets.

The problem with Noel and Okafor is that they look small, and so much less talented, juxtaposed with Embiid, who is just a phenomenon. And huge. Makes you feel Philly is trying to peddle its 2nd and 3rd stringers. Which is in fact the case.

Today's game confirmed one fact for me.  Noel is garbage.  If he was from San Diego, no Celtics fan would be head over heels for him.

Please explain as to why he is garbage? 13 points on 6-8 shooting with 8 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks.

I thought he had a decent stat line but he was boxed out easily by Marcus, big bodied by Horford in the post and is easy to push around.

Why didn't Okafor play last night?

It was like he wasn't there.  Noel is Deandre Jordan with his 16 year old body.

I noticed that too....BUT ....he is more willing to ruff house and stand under the rim than Kelly and plays above the rim to rebound , where Kelly and Zeller stand flatfooted and hope the ball hits them in the hands.  Noel is about 30 pounds short of muscle to tangle with Boogie

He is young , it would help outlook and confidence to play in place he is wanted and familiar .   He played very good last night on whole.

Noel has very low miles , and is still learning and has to put on muscle , build his frame up some.

He reminds me of a young Amir .

While taking consideration to recent injury, amount of games played,  playing with a pretty updated roster,  and prior view of Noel... He is a little passed by projections of where I expected him to be at this point.

I think there is a consensus he is a not an elite max player..   Im just hoping he can contribute on a 3rd tier level. So far far he's well working towards that.

TP.

Calling Noel "garbage" is an absurd statement much like it was absurd when some were claiming he was worth the #3 pick in the draft this past year. He's not the difference maker that the Cs need but he'd do in the meantime in helping the Cs. He helps fill the need for size, defense and rebounding. He's better than Amir or KO and I have little doubt that Brad could make the best use of his talents.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.
