Can't do the trade in the ESPN Trade Machine as Zeller is not eligible for trading until January 14th, but the salaries should match up. Zeller and Rozier combine to 9.9 million and Booker is in at 9.25.
Booker would immediately become our best rebounder, and at 29 fits nicely with our veterans in the short term without hurting us too much long term (he is signed for next season at about 9,125,000).
Booker is quietly having a very good season, averaging 10 and 9 a game. He just went off on Utah for 17 and 15, and already has 11 double-doubles this year. He has been arguably the best player for the Nets, but they would be wise (IMO) to look towards the future wherever possible.
For the Nets they would get an expiring contract in Zeller and a guard in Rozier that might become a building block for them. Lin has been hurt a lot this year and adding Rozier would give them another young player to build a core of sorts with RHJ.
