Has any one brought up injury contract rights?

So I was thinking about this today. If a player has an injury and misses 80% of the season should teams get another year added to his contract? They contracted him for play for so many games I think it would be a fair kind of deal. Of course I don't expect the added year to be the same $ but be a kind of arbitration year of pay.

What do you guys think about it?
