Been with my son at the hospital all evening, so I missed the game. Saw that Westbrook went off on us. What else happened and how did we play?

I didn't get to watch it, but the consensus (from what I gather on CB) is that the Cs played a pretty good game, with some bright moments from JB and Smart, a great fourth from IT, but no one could slow Westbrook.

More importantly, what's wrong with your son? I hope everything's going to be alright.

Oh, nothing too serious. He has an RSV infection and slight pneumonia, and as a 1.5 year old it has just taken a toll on him, especially with rapid respiration and decreased O2 levels. They're keeping us overnight for observation to monitor his levels. Sucky part is we're away from home at our families for Christmas, who we don't get to see too much. We're hoping to be out in the morning.

Thank you for your thoughts! TP!

You're quite welcome. The timing stinks, but I'm glad it's nothing severe, and I hope it doesn't keep your family from enjoying Christmas.

Doesn't this game show us just how far away we are from the top without a top ten player? I'm probably going to judge the success or failure of this season less by wins and losses and more by whether we can make a major deal. My best wishes for the speedy recovery of that gentleman's child.

It was a tight game and the Thunder is probably about the level of C's. That is to say, one dominant player away from a contender but definitely a dangerous opponent on any given night. Put a guy like KD on the Thunder (or the Celtics) and they become a contender. I hope DA is burning up the lines trying to get a guy like Boogie. I'm convinced Cousins vaults us to contender status.

Westbrook is a dominant player, IMO.  We don't have anyone close to his level which is a MVP level player.

Their MVP candidate played like an MVP as well as some guys went off for OKC. C's didn't have it together yet despite that Thunder barely got the win. C's are under performing still it's another slow start to another year. Hopefully after trade deadline they can dial it up again.

Crowder was MIA last night, the bench was largely MIA.

Marcus went to the post twice. It needs to happen 8-10 plays a game. Also, Brown needs the ball more down low.

Brad needs to give up some of the Butler ball philosophies. Sometimes the nba is all about 1 on 1 isolation plays.
