It's not the media's job to run the team and it's not a young players j ob either. The fact Boogie in some of his interviews has to wade through this stuff and direct the media shouldn't even be.

The media can say whatever they want and so can boogie but the team has to do a better job of protecting their players.

According to Carmichael Dave on Twitter (Kings reporter/commentator), the Kings will make every effort to max Cousins after this season...

So he's probably staying in Sacramento long term.

For those wondering what the OP is talking about, here's the play, along with his crazy postgame interview where he pretty much claims the world is against him (it's pretty funny):

https://twitter.com/BenGolliver/status/811455199717912576?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

https://twitter.com/BenGolliver/status/811458872619646976/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

And evidently the ref thought he threw his mouthpiece, which is why he gave him the technical foul. When the other refs said he didn't throw it and it came out of his mouth, then they rescinded the technical foul. So that's understandable. However, they'll look at the video afterwards and realize the technical foul was warranted all along, because Cousins undoubtedly spit it out towards them.
The sideline reporter in the third video is REALLY tall. Either that, or they put her on a stool.

Former WNBA player Kayte Christensen, she's 6'2" or 6'3" depending on the source, plus in heels I imagine.

For a little juxtaposition, here's her interviewing Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

He can play like Russell when he puts his mind to it.  Unstoppable .

Bill Russell was a total winner, Cousins game is not that similar he is more like Wilt.   This statement really shows that you never have watched Russell play.  Russell impacted more games with his defense than his offense.  Cousins is not that guy but is good in his own way.

What you said is correct. However, Cousins has a vastly superior offensive game than Russell.
And Chamberlain didn't have an Auerbach coaching him.  Cousins also doesn't throw-up before  games.

Honestly, if Cousins did come here, I wouldn't mind if he trash talked Felger and Mazz in Boston's media. LOL I would PAY to see that happen. Anything to shut those morons up.

I'd love that! Felger and Mazz are bigger ****s than Skip Bayless

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4mHXrnsCc4

True but Skip I thought was pure entertainment lol. The rants about Tebow that S.A.S and Skip had were LEGENDARY. Stephen A. Smith's reactions were always amazing and you could tell Skip was just trolling some of the time.

Some People (Not saying you, sir) don't seem to understand that the Skip/SAS's and the Felger/Mazz's of the world are much like Penn and Teller, or the WWE. It's an act, a show, meant to incite reaction. The opinions they say are not really their own a lot of the time. Give it the same skepticism you give pro wrestling. That's what it is.

Any comparison between KG and Cousins simply because they're both demonstrative players is not valid. KG had leadership skills while Cousins has not yet displayed any. Having said that, I still want him with the hope that he will thrive and mature some with a winning organization. Also, the thought of drafting two more teenagers whose talent level will more likely resemble Smart and Brown rather than Cousins and Westbrook is incredibly depressing. This is not a criticism of Ainge's selection skills, but just the reality of the NBA draft.

Yeah, everyone figured they'd try, but this is probably more about their current situation than anything.

Thanks to a whacky Western Conference, the Kings are 10th and only a game out of the 8th spot now. This is largely because the 7th seeded Thunder (16-12) are FOUR FREAKING GAMES ahead of the 8th seeded Blazers (13-17).

There's a major drop-off after the 7th seed in the Western Conference, and the Kings management is using that as some sort of optimism to think that they're "competing for a playoff spot." In reality, they're on track for yet another 32-33 win season, and that's probably about the worst thing in the world to sneak into the playoffs with a win count in the mid to low 30's (remember how many were upset that we were in the playoffs with 40 wins in 2014?).

That's why the Blazers game was so important last night. If the Kings would've lost that game to the Blazers last night, then they would've been 3 whole games back from the 8th spot with another probable loss to Utah tonight.

As stupid as it might be, they won't trade Demarcus unless it's pretty clear that they're out of the playoff race at the trade deadline, which should be helped by them trading Gay. So there's going to need to be some separation between the 8th spot and the Kings for that to happen. If the Blazers wouldn't suck so bad this wouldn't be an issue.

And I suspect that if the Kings should make the playoffs this year, that won't satiate those who criticize him for never having been in the playoffs. They'll simply move on to other criticisms—which are valid, but I still think he's worth the risk.

And for anyone doubting that he actually spit out his mouthpiece, watch this view of the situation. It's pretty clear. I'll be surprised if he's not fined or given another tech from the league for it:

The asking price did not go down on a night where he dropped 55.

Lol thats what Im saying. People dont realize how few players can drop 55. We lose our mind when our little guy drops 44.

Well what it means is that if you have IT and Cousins, they would drop 99 combined and the rest of the team doesn't have to work as hard to come up with the rest. ;)

Cousins is a controversial knucklehead.  But extremely talented and physically dominant.

Can Brad Stevens put this guy in check?  If he believes he can... and Sacramento is sick of his antics, then a trade could benefit both teams.  The main question is the price of the move.  We might have to lose Jaylen Brown, that would sting a lot.

And for anyone doubting that he actually spit out his mouthpiece, watch this view of the situation. It's pretty clear. I'll be surprised if he's not fined or given another tech from the league for it:

Looks like it might have come out because he was shouting in excitement after scoring.  So I could buy his story if that's what he feels happened.

The best solution is what we are doing right now which is building sans boogie.  Going all in on Boogie is a mistake.  The last thing i want to see is all the hard work we've done here go down the drain trading for Boogie and having him flip out and choke stevens or something and we are left with nothing as far as trade value and we gave up valuable plaeyrs and picks to get this guy.

I also agree this really shoouldn't be in celtics talk. The fact people are that distracted away from what this team is actually doing is sad.

It's a shame too because I don't think Boogie has done anything overly that bad to warrant that kind of response.  If anything the media is just as annoying and so am I for assuming that would happen.

And our boy Isaiah:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZLnAjqYeuQ

In the interview he said that his favorite number was 11.

So big question -- why doesn't he wear jersey number 11?
It's one of the few Celtics numbers that isn't retired.
And nobody else on the roster is currently wearing #11.
What's the story behind #4 jersey for IT?
