I  believe people confuse these two concept.

There are Big Men in the NBA that are not necessarily Bigs.

A Big Man is a size characterization A Big is a style of play.

Horford is a Big Man, he is not a Big. Zeller is a Big Man he is not a big. I really don't know what Amir is.

Celtics are in desperate need of BIGS.

You are confusing me lol. Horford is a big man and a big.  He might not be a guy who's standing in the paint all game and 7 feet adn 300 pounds.

The nba in general has gone away from that because teams are spreading the floor and you have to have multiple guys shooting the 3 to compete.

Now if we had a guy like Cousins in there who can do those things and spread the floor and also still grab 10 boards a game that's different.  There are very few of those guys.

There are guys that just stand in the paint like Bogut and grab 10 boards a game.

Deandre Jordan is basically this too.

There are different kinds of big men.  There's Perk. There used to be MChale and Parish.  They were even different from each other.  Shaq and Wilt.

HOrford really can do both. He's like a new age Parish to me who can range out.  He's a big though.  If he stood in the paint he'd get a ton of blocks and boards.

Horford has the ability to hulk up. That's why he's so cool. He's a big man who then becomes a big lol.

Horfrd is really one of the few guys who can do both.

Then there are guys like Kristaps and Davis.  These are bigs but they are skinnier.  They have the ability to use their length and athleticism.  NOel is  like this but without the offense.

Kristaps is an even weaker rebounder than HOrford though. He can't really hulk up like Horford does.

Davis can really do both but it's with his athleticism and ability.

Cousins is even more this.  He is really the only center who can truly do it all has the size etc although not as mobile as Davis or Noel for that matter.  But can really do it all.

Cousins even you have to look at how he is being utilized. He goes out to the perimeter and is still able to get 12 boards a game.  If he was inside all the time he'd be doing wilt type stuff.

Drummond averages more boards because he can't shoot and is inside all the time and in the paint.

Much easier to stop Drummond. Just keep Drummond out of the paint.  You can't do that with Horford.

Both Cousins and Horford are better players than Drummond.
