Ainge has his eye on him, almost literally.

Tom Westerholm tweets that Ainge was in Springfield watching this kid play tonight.

I'm catching Hamidou Diallo tonight in Springfield. I'll have some tweets on my HS account if you are interested.

I guess that Diallo could go the Thon maker route and enter the draft. He will be 19 at the draft and if he enters could be a wild-card to strengthen the SG crop.

This is at least the second time that Ainge has gone to see Diallo play in the past 6 days.

Diallo has offers from KY, AZ, UCONN, Indiana and Syracuse.

Another blue-chipper to add to this year's draft, or Danny looking into the future?

He went all the way to Europe to watch Giannis, but picked Olynyk instead. Nuff said.

I live in Putnam and have seen this kid play  a few times , looks like a 2ndt rounder if he were in the draft  2017, but after a year of college  should be a top 25 pick

We should only judge danny on that draft

We shouldn't judge OTHER GM's on their drafting abilities though
I trust Danny Ainge

This kid is garnering more attention.

This from a masslive article:

Quote
Diallo has an NBA player's build. His 6-foot-5 frame is well-proportioned to add muscle (he's currently 185 pounds), and he moves like a natural guard despite his size. With a 6-foot-10 wingspan, he has good size for a shooting guard, which would be his professional position -- even though he showed some solid passing instincts and can bring the ball up the court when necessary, he doesn't appear to be a natural point guard.

Meanwhile, Diallo unquestionably has NBA athleticism. The shooting guard has elite explosiveness, and when he gets out in transition, he becomes borderline unstoppable.

And this on his defense:

Quote
And indeed, watching Diallo rotate defensively, observers can see flashes of a defensive problem { for his opponents} -- a player who watches the play develop and both traps and rotates correctly, but who also can defend the 6-foot-8 power forward Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.tu, the No. 8 player in the class of 2018
