3rd best player on this draft. I don't think Jackson or Isaac or Tatum should go before Smith. I know he is just another PG and teams maybe will want something else than PG on this draft but realistically he is 3rd best player on this draft

Jackson is literally carrying his team in a stacked conference. Isaac is raw and Tatum have a stacked team.

Carrying his team in a stacked conference?  That's 13 years in a row for Kansas.  I don't consider it carrying a team when your teammate is national player of the year.

Smith Jr. Is like a Westbrook with a 6'4 wingspan instead of a 6'10 wingspan

So like a poor man RW . Explosive guard

I have DSJ ahead of Ball on Dannys list
Agree.  I think Smith could be at the top of Danny's list.

He might be at the top of the list now...

I am not a Dennis Smith fan by any means. I think his most likely outcome is pretty ugly. However, he might have the second most pure upside in the Draft. If Danny believes in him, I wouldn't be entirely opposed.

I will be devastated if we take Smith Jr.

really don't like him.

I like Smith Jr.  Great athlete and talent, has some fire.  Friend in NC has seen him play several times, sounds like he's a little human highlight reel.

I'm actually quite the Smith fan, but not sure if we're going to be reaching on him at #3.

Who knows with Danny

Send out some De'Aaron Fox smokescreens then fleece Vlade for 5 and 10.

#3 for #5 and #10, yes please. Could end up with Tatum and Smith Jr / Ntilikina (probably butchered that name).

After watching some highlights, a workout video, and several interviews I've talked myself into picking him at #3 or whereever else we end up trading down to. His athleticism gives him one of the highest ceilings in this draft, his jumper looks solid, seems like a competitor and not one to be ok with losing. Carries the same defensive concerns that Fultz had and his win/loss record at NCState will make people question "his ability to win". Seems like a Russell Westbrook or Derrick Rose caliber player if he reaches his potential.

At this point I'm afraid to have a preference in this draft. Probably will just end up with Josh Jackson or Jayson Tatum. If we're keeping these picks then best case scenario we end up with forwards or a center in next years draft. Makes sense to pick a guard this year. If we are making a run at Hayward we definitely don't have room for Jackson to play many minutes.

Although it is interesting that we brought in Smith Jr the day we accepted the trade, and before even working out Jackson...

Taking Smith third is not smart. Guy is a marginal top 8 player

Would not make sense to pass on fultz because you have a glut of guards ok only to take a smaller guard who cannot play the 2.
