I hope we pick up Lauri Markkanen. He a 7ft forward from Finland who can shoot lights out. I know, I know we already have a gangley foreign 7 footer who's supposed to shoot the ball lights out but he might be out of our price range next season. He is a freshman who will turn 20 in May, yuck, but "at just 19 years old, Markkanen already has four years of pro and FIBA experience under his belt".

"On the defensive end of the floor Markkanen competes, and shows nice mobility on perimeter switches, not looking out of place, moving his feet and trying to stay in front of quicker forwards and even guards. He'll need to continue to add strength so he can handle physicality in the paint at the college and higher professional levels."

Versatile 7ft scorer who competes on the defensive end and can switch on to guards and forwards. He'd probably look nice next to a big angry Croatian in a few years...

I was reading a little about him earlier.

The player he sounded like to me was Meyers Leonard. Is that a good comparison?

Did you read that they were both white 7 footers? Because thats about where the comparison ends...

Trouble with physicality. Bad rebounder. Low impact defensively. Bad passer.

Those things combined with the 7 foot frame, perimeter orientated rather than a post up player and the 3 point shooting reminded me of M.Leonard ... although after watching the video you linked to above, Markkanen is clearly a more comfortable ball handler and more versatile offensive threat out on the perimeter than Meyers Leonard is.

Ivan Rabb would be my later lottery pick.  Probably a lock for the top 10.  He is a sophmore, so a little more experience and time to work on/add to his game, but he is still very young for his age group if I remember correctly.

I like Rabb a lot, especially if we can't land a top 3 or 5 pick.  Would be fun to see him reunite with Jaylen Brown as well!
