Sacramento says no because even they aren't that stupid.

LOL!  TP for that one.

Perhaps the deal can be sweetened with a 2nd rounder.

The CBA says no as well, as their salaries don't quite match.

Guess I'm surprised folks think The Kings are going to get more than a chip like Young for Casspi.

Sacramento says no because they don't have a player named "Omar Casspi"

Totally forgot the Celtics have $1.1 million cap room.  That's why it works.  And that's why I'm not supposed to post while my plane is delayed on the tarmac.

But James Young is useless to the Kings.  If he actually plays well while he's there, he could command a salary greater than what they are allowed to offer him in free agency, unless something changes with the CBA.  If he doesn't play well, then that's not worth it either.  Danged if he's good, danged if he isn't kind of thing.

I don't know that Cassipi would be the most expensive to acquire, although as he has a cheap contract, he's easy for most teams to make room for, so that could drive his price up a little bit.  But he's worth more than James Young.

James Young is less a chip and more of a blighted potato.

Teams generally don't trade useful players for garbage. Sacramento might be the exception to that rule, I suppose. He's made worse trades.
