Its an amazing story you really never know what someone is going through. Glad he was able to get into recovery and learn how to process his PTSD. I'm very proud that the Doc/Danny/C's/Rondo/Avery all helped him.

I think Doc has gotten a lot of grief over the years for being phony at times (including from me for his behavior during the Donald Sterling stuff), however I do give him a lot of credit for being up and visiting Kenyon in the hospital and supporting him immediately and how much comfort he seemingly provided to Keyon in this situation.

It's amazing that these "hard" athletes are sharing their inner struggles with the world. Hopefully by using their stories, we are empowering the next generation to confront their internal struggles, instead of burying them like "men."

Illness' are illness' regardless of what word comes before them.

Weren't we giving crap to Danny Ainge back then because he didn't bring back Dooling, who was a mentor for Rajon Rondo during the time he spent with us?

Just shows we never know the full story of things.

Sad story. Glad he had the right support system around him to get the right help before he did something terrible.

Great reminder that regardless of what we see on the court and hear in the media, these guys are all human beings and we don’t know their story, their struggle.

I’ll never forget Keyon’s celebratory jump after hitting a 3 against Miami in 2012 ECF (game 4?).

Dooling has touched on this before. If anything, the full details of his childhood might be worse than let on in the Player’s Tribune article:

 https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2013/04/27/keyon-dooling-credits-doc-rivers-with-helping-save-his-life-after-breakdown-last-summer/hL98TQohVMziczVbDmOdFK/amp.html

There is no punishment too severe for people who sexually abuse children. Dooling has amazing strength to be able to battle and overcome his trauma.
