I'd add DJ Wilson to the Michigan-OK State list.  Of the Michigan stretch bigs, I think he's the one more likely to leave school this year as opposed to Wagner.

Also, he's not listed on most mock draft lists, but Derrick Walton Jr. of Michigan is totally an Ainge/Stevens PG.  Good from the 3 and FT line, plus rebounder for the position, and a total gamer.  He's the type of player they might select with one of their 2nds in the 50s and give a Two-way contract to.  If Michigan has a deep run in the tourney, it will be due to him, and his name will start popping up more.  He dealt with recurring ankle injuries his sophomore and junior years, which held him back, but this year he's been healthy all season and is playing terrifically.  Caleb Swanigan was player of the year, but Walton is tops in the conference in many of the advanced stats -- offensive rating, offensive box plus-minus, win shares.

DJ Wilson finished with 19 points on 6-12, along with 5 boards and 4 blocks.
Derrick Walton Jr. had 26 on 7-13 (including 6-9 from 3), 11 assists, 5 boards, 2 steals, 1 block and 2 charges drawn.

Both proved me right today.  If you didn't watch the game, find the replay.  It was definitely the best-played game of the tournament so far.

I watched some of the Arizona game last night and I have to say I was not impressed at all with Markkanen.

Why not?  What were you expecting?  16pt 11reb 2blks is not bad at all.  I've become more impressed with Markkanen as the season has progressed.  He started off staying on the perimeter and just being a very good 3pt shooter.  Now he's battling inside with bigs and starting to drive to the basket on occasion.

Most people here (including me) think that Kelly is passive. This kid's picture is in the dictionary for passive.

I might have agreed with you at the beginning of the season but not anymore.  Markkanen has  been more active and has showed a more diversified game as the season progressed.  I'd say Isaac is more passive than Markkanen.

Sindarius Thornwell, first 7 of SC's11 points.

If SC has a chance vs Duke, it will be because of Thornwell.

Had 44/21 game vs'Bama this year.

Markkanen looks slow footed to me and I think he'll end up as an off the bench shooter on a good team.

Congrats to Thornwell and the Gamecocks for their victory over Duke and their first Sweet 16 ever.

I watched the UCLA game and Ball was Amazing! I don't know if he'll be able to defend his position in the NBA but with Smart and Bradley we'd probably be able to cover for that.
