Great game between Duke and Syracuse.  Tie game with four minutes left.  Tatum having a huge game.  I really think he's in the top four discussion with Jackson, Ball, and Fultz.

I do too.  He's really picked it up in the last month or so.  Very easy to see why he was so highly rated.

Dennis Smith Jr. still gets a lot of talk in the top 3-4 as well. 1-2 times a game (the 3 or so games I've seen of him) he makes a play that has me stand up off my couch in awe.  And then at least that many times he makes plays that cause me to really hope he's not a Celtic next year.  He's someone it's easy to see a team falling in love with -- he's just so athletic.  But he's also someone that I could just as easily see fall, because he can be so erratic too.

Banking in a last second forced three pointer.  That's just crazy.

Tatum went for 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists.  He's really come alive recently.  His 3 point shooting is now up to around 40%.

I agree with you and salt.....Tatum would be a great consolation prize if we miss on Jackson and Fultz.

Jackson posted 15/11/4 despite turning his ankle early, and getting into foul trouble in 2nd half.  He posted those #s in 26 minutes. Tatum played entire 40.

I think Celtics will focus in on taking either Jackson or Tatum (unless Ball really intrigues Danny, hard to tell how he fits in. Fultz I doubt Danny will care for).  A case can be made for each. My personal favorite right now is Jackson. He just seems to have a basketball team brain, where he is never forcing anything, loves to involve his team-mates, and just glides across the floor old school, like Drexler and Dr. J.  So fundamentally sound. He actually had an off game last night, was a little disappointing defensively at times, which is unusual. I think his ankle had something to do with his unusual display of tentativeness.

Thanks for the Jackson update.

I was going to DVR both the Duke and kansas games but got pre-occupied and was flipping back and forth. I didn't know about Jackson being hampered by the ankle. He still looked great.

He's my #1 choice right now. As you said, footey, his fluidity and then his explosion and the burn that he has to compete constantly are impressive.

His 3pt shooting is coming around. He is the type of athlete with that burn to improve, so his shot will get there with the amount of work that he is willing to put in.

Personally, I will be very disappointed if we end up with Tatum. Typical low-ceiling guy, in my opinion.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Yeah, I don't like him either. A lot of people here do for some reason.. his HS hype gets mentioned a lot but if that's a determining factor then Lonzo Ball is the consensus #1 pick.

Jackson was the highest ranked out of high school with Giles 2nd.
