The guy is so tough. Never afraid to absorb contact. I don't care if he can't shoot. He have the winning mentality and toughness of Smart.

edit: He's playing Smart's team. LOL
Jackson is definitely though but I don't think he is anywhere close to smart.
Warning: I am a Marucs Smart homer

i understand your points. jackson maybe THE best all around athlete and basketball player in this draft, except for his shooting. it is really, really bad.

if the celtics take jackson, there is really no way the team can put smart and jackson out there together since both, right now, are poor shooters.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Celtics can just switch Smart with AB off the bench since Smart can play both with both IT and AB. Jackson will just replace Smart as the playmaker off the bench. Unlike Smart, he takes more smarter (no pun intended) shot selection and capable of playing off the ball. If people wanted Simmons, I can't see how they don't want Jackson who is much more competitive.

He's arguably a better playmaker than Fultz or Ball.

I can see the bench next season with decent spacing. Just pick your poison

Yabu
Jackson
Brown
Kelly (If resigned)
AB
Zizic
Green (If resigned)

Plus, i'm a bit more worried about both Fultz and Ball. Draftexpress labelled "Casual Approach" for both of those kids. That's the same weakness Wiggins, Barnes, OJ Mayo, Jeff Green, Rudy Gay and Beasley had. Not a good sign if their motor come and goes. They may not be build for highly competitive basketball and Washington isn't exactly a good college ball team either.

I like Jackson, but I don't think he is the best player in this draft. He reminds me of Josh Childress. He's a playmaker. He's versatile. But I don't think he is an all-star. Modern day comparison would be something like a Wilson Chandler.

If everything broke perfectly and he developed a jump shot, there's a chance he can be Jimmy Butler-lite, but his free throw rate indicates that is unlikely.

If we were picking 6-10, I'd be all for it, but there are other guys who have a higher ceiling and less weaknesses.

Patton looks great. Thanks for the find. This is going to be a good draft.

I think a fair comp for Jackson may be Iggy at best. I think Josh Childress is a good floor.

Great athleticism...not a great shooter....maybe like an Elfrid Payton/Rondo mix.

Isaiah Briscoe impresses me on that team, despite the big names of Fox, Monk and Bam.
