Yeah that Kentucky Carolina game was insane.  Thought NC was going to pull it out, but Monk hit a big shot.  Monk was unconscious, but I still come away even more impressed with Fox.  As you said, Jackson seems to be really emerging, he's always been an intriguing player because of his length and athleticism, finally starting to develop consistent offensive skills.
Most enjoyable complete game I've seen in quite a while.  Felt like every possession mattered which is unusual for a high scoring game.  Jackson hasn't stood out to me in the past.  Had a Jeff Green vibe.  After this performance, I wouldn't mind if we used the TWolves 2nd on him.

Fox is my favorite player in this draft class.  He's not the best player or the best fit for our current roster but I'd be hyped if we got him.  Just so much fun to watch him.  Other than his 3pt shooting which can be worked on, he's everything I want a PG to be.

TP...good head's up on early FSU game (2p.m. on a Monday?...weird)

Two other players to watch:

For FSU: Dwayne Bacon (their best player so far and projected first rounder in '16, he will go first round this year)

For Duke: Kennard (also their best player so far due to others' injuries)

Harry Giles playing his first minutes of NCAA ball RIGHT NOW!!!!

EDIT: Looked very tentative in his first stint. (Understandable, I guess.)

Additional Edit: commentator at halftime said it looked like he was dragging his left leg, so maybe not ready. :(

That was rather anticlimactic.  Hopefully Giles will get some more playing time next time.

Prospect watching for 12/20

6:30  FS1  -  Xavier:  Sumner

9:00  Pac12   -   Arizona:  Markkanen

Sounds horrible, but I lol'd.  Kid has blown out both knees by age 18.  Seems almost unprecedented for a talent of his caliber.  Plenty of healthy elite prospects to choose from this draft.  Would be an interesting scenario if BKN landed outside the top 3 and Giles slid, though...

I really hope we (BKN) don't slide down far enough to pick this kid. I'd rather pick one of the top guards than him. I still think he may return to school but he's too much of a Frank Kaminsky/Kelly Olynyk for my liking.

I'd say Markkanen could replace Olynyk now and he's 6 years younger.  He's probably not a top 5 pick in this draft.  If the Nets pick slides out of the top 5 or so, I'd be fine with taking Markkanen and letting Olynyk walk.  However my preference in that scenario would probably be to take Fox.

This on Giles:

Quote
“It’s just a matter of him being in shape,” Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said. “He hasn’t played in 14 months.”

For Giles, playing as a reserve and in limited minutes might take time to get used to.

“Just trying to figure it out, trying to get used to the speed. It was fast, too,” he said. “Just trying to figure it out and get a feel for it.

“Frustrating because how it went. … It was terrible, my performance. I just have to get better. … That was shaking the rust off, getting the kinks out.”

It's going to take a while.
