Shocked a thread hasn't been started yet regarding Klay as the rumor is on Celticsblog front page.
Gotta admit i'm intrigued and will say he is worth Jae and the Brooklyn pick, especially considering Brooklyn is looking better than most expected.
I think Bradley and the Brooklyn pick makes more sense for Golden state, but I think you have to give up Jae or AB and whatever picks to acquire Klay, he is the best 2 in the NBA.

That being said, i'm unsure why the Celtics would even pursue Klay Thompson. Shooting and perimeter defense is not our struggle right now, rebounding is. If I were Ainge I hope Anthony Davis becomes available and give up the farm to get him (Davis rumor per CSNE).

If we trade for Klay, i'd be happy but deep down i'd know he's not what this team needs right now.

No, he is not worth Jae and the Brooklyn pick. You give up that stash for him and you will regret it.

Apparently Myers and Ainge had an "interesting" three-way text conversation with Scal today. I wonder what that convo was about. Seems like it was them to either stop making stuff up or to shut his mouth regarding stuff that doesn't need to be out in the public yet.

Nope, not worth Jae and a BKLN pick.

Bradley is pretty much as good as Klay now.

That's an absurd comment. Bradley may never make an all star team. Klay is the best 2 in the league.
OK I admit Klay is better, but not by a lot.  Bradley could made the ASG this year.  However, my main point is that Klay doesn't move the needle over Bradley, especially if you have to give up Crowder and I pick (if not more).  So let me modify my statement:

Bradley is pretty much as good as Klay for what the Celtics need now.
Thompson is a far better player then AB. He's someone that can out play an MVP teammate and take over big play off games. I'll take klay over AB any day.
Apparently I'm not getting through.  Do you feel that way knowing you also have to give up Crowder and a good pick?

LOL

Please see this tweet about the source of the rumor: it'll make you at least chuckle : http://twitter.com/rodger_sherman/status/798241647146340352

Can we please end this?  There has always been twitter trolls and realgm idiots who spread completely nonsense fabricated rumors.  We've always had our Croters and CelticsThugs, but it was for the most part contained.  Within the last year, there's been a growing problem with nonsense clickbait blogs that literally make up bull**** daily.  Off the top of my head we have morningledger.com (where this nonsense Klay Thompson rumor comes from and the same site which had us trading for Paul George last month, for instance)... there's also, Inquisitr (which has us trading for James Harden this week), Sportsrageous (which has us trading for Carmelo Anthony this week) and Yibada (which has us trading everyone for everyone).   I'm sure there's others.  You merely need to google "(Popular Player Name) Trade" and you'll find some nonsense rumor from one of these nonsense sites.   Can we have every thread associated with these garbage sites locked?   Can mods create a ban list or a warning for every "rumor" thread that says "please do not post from one of these sites".  It's a sickness and it needs to be destroyed.

Lol. I don't think we're disagreeing here, Lar.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Not only is the team sucking, but Scal is dropping the ball now too? What next, Tommy calls an unbiased game?  Never thought we would see the day when Jimmy Young is the only Celtic doing his job.

TP!

Just to show you how deep this sickness is, I'll try out my own theory.  I ranked the top players in the NBA by EFF and googled their name and "trade" to see if I could find an associated "rumor".  Most have some garbage rumors associated with them.

It goes on and on.  If you want a fake rumor to dream about, some idiot has already written about it on a clickbait site.  I could find rumors of us trading Jaylen Brown in packages for Carmelo Anthony or Paul George or James Harden or Jimmy Butler or DeMarcus Cousins or Kevin Love.   I could still find multiple fake rumors about Boston trading Marcus Smart for Nerlens NOel.  Every pipe dream trade you could ever want as a Celtic fan has a blog claiming it's in the works.  Those sites need to be destroyed.
