With Zizic and Yabusele stashed and the Nets picks in the pipeline, I think the likeliest trade target is a big man on an expiring contract who won't necessarily be in the team's long-term plans.

Do you really want to trade away assets for Noel only to have him walk at the end of the season? More conventional GM thinking says to not make a trade and wait until the off-season to sign Noel outright.
and waste a year of Horford and get another year closer to massive raises for Thomas, Bradley, and Crowder. The time to move is now. Boston didn't sign Horford to build a contender around Brown and the other Brooklyn picks years from now.
