It's not a rumor.

It's a clickbait article. Inquisitr has absolutely no credibility.

I have no clue as to who is available, but the ammo is there to make trades like this. If it's Davis, Cousins, or DeAndre Jordan, I think it all starts with Brown & the Nets picks. Heck, depending on the return, Brown showing his talent might save Ainge from giving up multiple picks. Brown has big time game.

Let's play along and pretend this is a legitimate rumor...

Quote
The latest gossip from the rumor mill is pointing toward a potential deal that combines all of these teams and prominent players. The specifics of the rumored proposal are as follows: the Boston Celtics would come away with Anthony Davis, and the New Orleans Pelicans would receive a package of DeMarcus Cousins, small forward Jaylen Brown and Brooklyn’s first-round pick in 2018 (via Boston). The Sacramento Kings would be compensated by acquiring point guard Marcus Smart, center Kelly Olynyk, small forward Quincy Pondexter and the Nets’ first-round draft choice in 2017 (from Boston).

So basically if we want Davis, we would have to give up Brown, Smart, KO, BOTH BKN picks (and presumably Amir or Zeller for salary).

But if we just dealt with Sac directly, then we would only need to give up Smart, KO, the equivalent of Quincy Pondexter, and ONE BKN pick.

I am definitely a humongous fan of Davis - more so than Cousins - but in this case, I would be all about cashing in on Cousins and keeping Jaylen Brown and one of the BKN picks. This is one of many reason this rumor can't be true.

And, in case that wasn't enough, there was also this gem from the Inquisitr...

Current NBA trade rumors are making the rounds that these three teams may be talking to each other about a three-way swap involving Jimmy Butler and Klay Thompson. The rumored proposal would send swingman Jimmy Butler and power forward Bobby Portis to the Warriors, while shooting guard Klay Thompson would join the Celtics. For their participation in this trade, the Bulls would receive shooting guard Avery Bradley, small forward Jaylen Brown, and Brooklyn’s first-round draft pick in 2018 (via Boston).

Yes, so this has us acquiring Klay Thompson...pretty cool, right...but giving up Bradley, Brown and the '18 BKN pick. YIKES!

If we are going to take this site's rumors as'real',  I say we just do Smart, KO, and one BKN pick for Cousins and call it a day. Hey, at least they are talking about the Cs.

Why make this trade?, have you forgot Ante Zicic??, no sense for Boston, Jaylen, Marcus and Zicic wil be a lethal combination, give Bradley the max, let Thomas go, jeep it like it is Danny!!!

Jaylen Brown and some scrubs for Anthony Davis.  That's the only trade worth exploring that involves Brown.

TP...thought all this stuff last night , but too tired to type it...thanks for saying what I was thinking better than I can type it.

For that price, deal directly with Sac and eliminate the middle man.

A lot of these garbage sites that completely fabricate rumors are starting to pop up.  They make up baseless rumors daily about dozens of players in the league.  Google any big name player and you will find a rumor linking him to your team.  These sites often quote each other too.  It sucks.  Google "Jaylen brown trade" for instance and you'll find "rumors" about us trading him for players like Paul milsap, nerlens Noel, wilson chandler, or Rudy gay.  All completely fake.  You'd get the sense Boston is desperately trying to move Jaylen to any team that will take him.

sportsrageous, headlines and global news, inquistr and yibada should all be banned from this site.  They are all completely worthless.  That and Twitter posts from random  high school students claiming to have scoops.
