the 2nd unit is under stress without kelly already
marcus is critical to defensive success of 2nd unit and rebounding
he would match up well against wade with his strength
marcus makes rozier better by freeing him and getting a lesser defender also allows him to rebound
smarts absence is the reason we lost that game, you can't lose one of the best defenders in league and not miss him

We missed Zizic. He would have helped.

smart would have made wades life miserable
,free'd up rozier to rebound and marcus is known to pull down some boards at critical times
what was wrong with portis

I absolutely agree Marcus is crucial to the 2nd unit for the reasons you say--but--no one gives Wade more trouble than Avery and Wade seemed far from miserable last night--Wade just had a very good night .....and the game was still winnable--just a few less mistakes were needed.

the celts best free throw shooters missed enough free throws -close games are won at the line
even isaiah missed
brads play using jaylen  even backfired-
an early season away game back to back with opponent opening night at home
that was a team with some guns and had all the advantages

I don't think it backfired. He made a bad play at a bad time. Really the only one I remember in the 20 minutes he played. Hopefully he won't make that mistake again, but I can remember a number of plays that contributed to this loss.
Horford missed 3? Horford going down the lane all alone and missing lay up? IT missing 4 FT's?
10,000 offense rebounds given up? Etc.

Could not agree more. The defense hasn't been great to start the year and Smart will boost that.

This team is also turning the ball over a lot more than they did last year. I think adding him into the mix as a secondary ball handler will help that.

He's a good rebounder but I expect that to be an issue all season regardless of if he helps.

I'm going to expect the C's to get outrebounded all season, but I think Marcus can improve the C's other deficiencies to the point that they can win despite losing the battle on the boards.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

i was not dishing either brad or jaylen just that it was a bad night and collection of early season errors on the bulls home court, isaiah is a 87% free throw shooter ,zeller is usually automatic-all sorts or early season mistakes like losing that lead to nets press
jaylen is doing great, isaiah efficient, crowder deadly and avery huge strides going to hoop and passing, will as season wears on  make him a very dangerous threat
