It's funny that the two most significant games of opening week are:

1.) the Spurs vs Golden State match up from last night, where everyone needed to see what the GSW could do against an elite team

and

2.) Us playing the projected 21 win Nets

most significant is pretty subjective in sports. im pretty sure Philly fans are excited about their game too.

It's always wise to wait about 20 games into the season to make any snap judgements on teams.  Spurs won 67 games last year.  Them beating the Warriors in the first game fo the season doesn't really mean anything.  Both of those teams are going to be great, but the Warriors on paper seem almost impossible to beat in a 7 game series.

The Bron/Wade/Bosh threesome started their first season 8-7 and lost opening night to the Celtics.  They still made the finals that season and the next 3 years after that.  And this Golden State team won 73 games last season and upgraded Harrison Barnes to one of the 3 best players in the world.  That team looks like it will be scary good.

They upgrade their offense in exchange for their interior defense and rebounding. Look what happened despite the efficient game from their 4 starters.

Celtics beat the Nets sans Smart.   That is my prediction for this one.  The nets will play hard and we should be ready.  Could be a long year for them.

I wish they'd show the National Anthem and introductions for each Celtics game. I always get so pumped up watching them!

Should be a pretty awesome experience for Horford's first introduction!!

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'm watching Magic-Heat game on the moment. Once the Celtics game start, i'll switch channel.

For some reason, I like the Heat commentary over Magic.
