Good choice.

Way more potential than Hunter, to be honest, plus hes the perfect mold for a SG/SF, which we desperately need if he can ever become a better shooter.

james young has youth, burned up red claws, has that stroke and has the frame-rj was my favorite till he couldn't hit his threes and he didn't come back bigger
in hindsight rj could pass and had range -tough luck that green came available cheap with history

I don't get why everyone is infatuated with Hunter, Young did a better job in pre-season. Plus, they were both bad defensively, but Young is still 2 years younger, and Al Horford could certainly help him become better. We can afford to have a project on our roster.

If they explicitly send the message "if you work hard and you improve yourself and you work hard every day it will be seen and recognized" then I'm ok with it.

If the theory is "We try to keep whoever we think has the most potential" I am not ok with that.

I think it might be we want to keep the player who is more useful for salary matching purposes in a trade.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Not a surprise, but we waived RJ. Happy birthday buddy.  :-\

Hunter didn't get better at ball handling, didn't get any bigger, nor did he improve his woeful shooting. You can make the same case for Hunter just as you can for Young, although Young came into camp with noticeable body differences, and certainly wasn't getting pushed around as easily as last year.

I know most people don't like Young, but I think he still has plenty of room to grow, and it would be a waste to just let him go like that.

Meh.

Neither one of them are ever going to amount to anything in the association. Hunter has one skill, and Young just flat doesn't seem to care.

Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Best of luck James. You sure took a beating from this group last year. Glad we inspired you.   ;D

Just kidding...wish you continued success. You worked hard and deserve a roster spot.

Sorry to see RJ go. He has a ton of talent and a positive disposition. I hope he finds a spot somewhere in the NBA.

Today was RJ's birthday (and Jaylen's too). This is so harsh. So cold. I feel so bad for RJ
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about
