He doesn't give much detail for what it's from, but you have to imagine it's due to weight issues, at least in part.

Looks like not resigning him was a good idea.

EDIT: Also good news for us that Raptors can't catch a break with these injuries to their newly acquired guys. Sully looked pretty decent there in the preseason when I watched. Certainly a major rebounding presence.

Like you say, good for us but it'll be a shame if Sully's body starts falling apart because he's fat.

Sullinger is fat and deserves that to be pointed out early and often. He lied to us last year and made it seem he was getting into shape. It doesn't matter if he is an ex-Celtic. He deserves zero sympathy.

Maybe if he totally fails this year, we will be able to pick him back up on a minimum contract. Now that would be awesome (for us, not him...but maybe for him if he can do the Evan Turner turnaround). I would hate to see Sully's career derailed by injuries, but I [obviously] won't be surprised.

Apparently it's the same foot that he broke with us the year before last in 2014-2015. Hopefully it's not a recurring thing for him now.

Stress fracture on a player that is 20,30,40 pounds over weight is the kiss of death. The pounding of a rigorous NBA season is difficult enough without excess weight. I was hoping to hear it was a simple break from an accident, rather than a stress fracture.

Sorry to say this but this could be the beginning of the end for Sully. Unless he comes back at an all-time lightest weight for himself. If Sully comes back to recuperate at 290...good luck.
