I always hear random stats like "shot 47% from within 17 feet with a European defender within 3 feet". Where can I find those? All I use now is basketball reference. The reason I ask is coz I was looking at Hayward's 3pt % stats (which aren't pretty) and wondered if there are broader contributing factors to his woes, especially considering he has had 1 decent year of shooting..

I was looking for some raw data awhile ago so I could play around with some data viz and I think a lot of the proximity stats come from Sport Vu data. You have to pay a subscripton fee for the data feed. It's not really practical for the analytics hobbyist

Yeah, thanks for that. I really just want to look at the stats on Marcus' shooting with the defender at various distances away from him. Thanks again.
