Well well well.... where are the JM bashers now?  ... just pulling your hair

http://youtu.be/3QR_eu1nSDU

Not bragging but this is the JM i have been expecting to show up.  He has sacrificed blocking a few more shots in games for the sake of playing solid team D

Still has some more work to do but imo he is ahead of Zeller. Also Jerebko has been really struggling on both ends so far...

Yeah, you've been waiting for about 2 years. He played well in a game that didn't count and against second/third teamers like him. Very curious to see if you continue posting in this thread even after his many vanishing acts.

Either point of view, I'm pulling for him. It was the first time I saw some emotion, and positive energy out of him.

We need another rim protecting big that can rebound much more than we need another undersized young guard.

He has below average size, below average skill, and above average athleticism. Combine that with an inconsistent motor and it's easy to come to the conclusion that he's one of the worse players on our team and an annual "is he going to get cut" candidate.

Just don't hide when he puts up his usual goose eggs and isn't going up against turnstile Hawes.

waited until he had a decent game to make a Mickey thread Triboy?  doesn't show much faith in your boy if you're not there chatting him up after every game good or bad.

I don't see any JM bashers. He hasn't been important enough to bother bashing.

Once is a fluke. Once in a preseason game doesn't even qualify as a fluke. It's a non-event that proves nothing. Much like I'm not penciling in Hunter into the rotation based off his game last night either.

I'd love JM to become a solid role player for the Cs. The Cs can use some good, defensive oriented big men. But until Jordan demonstrates that he can do that I wouldn't go anointing him as some great savior. He didn't show much in Summer League. He hasn't shown much until last night in preseason. I'm glad he had a solid game. I hope he can build from it.

I've been off the Mickey hype train for awhile now. This performance was certainly encouraging, but I'm not ready enough to buy tickets for the train again. Let's see him do this a few more times, against better players too.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I wasn't surprised at all that he played well Saturday. He played that way literally all year last year in Maine. I expect him to further improve.

He was injured in summer league. Fact.

He looked tentative and anxious in the first 2 preseason games.

Maybe that is because he is just TWELVE MONTHS into his pro career. Once he calms down he'll be able to showcase what is an impressive skill set.

Have you watching any of the other pre seadon games or is stats all you care about?

Mickey has strung together 3 good games and the last one was his best .

Unlike James Young still, Mickey is "reacting" very quickly on both ends. He is at the right spots , at the right time.   And unfortunately this has caused him to not be able to block many shots (one of his key strengths). But lots of other areas of his game has improved from last season. Has also added muscle to his body

Mickey is on the right track , to come off the bench and help . Taj Gibson comparisons do look good imo
