Zizic looks real solid. I'm willing to bet he will be one of many steals from the 2016 class. It would surprise me if, like many 23rd overall picks in recent drafts (Hollis-Jefferson, Hood, Mirotic, Booker, Chandler) he didn't end up wildly exceeding expectations.

He gets most of his points off dunks from hanging around in the paint, but if you look at his shot mechanics on free throws, he shows great promise in potentially developing a solid mid range game. Every game he has gotten at least 2 blocks so his presence is surely felt on defense. When i see him play i see a Steven Adams/Nikola Pekovic hybrid, which would be amazing.

He looks good. Especially on defense. I wish he'd use his power and his athleticism more when he finishes. You can see that he's got the strength when he posts up, he just usually opts to finesse layups rather than power dunks.

Hopefully he grows up and matures his inside game. He's already crafty and fluid. He just needs to get meaner.

Pekovic was never a good defender...adams never good in offence... if someone knows of euro basket he reminds a taller savic

The bigs rotation next year is going to be fascinating with Amir and Jonas on one year deals, and Zeller with only a team option for 2017. I could imagine Danny wanting to bring over both Zizic and Yabusele, but that's alot of youth to go along with Horford and KO....

Now, I am not a scout, and i have no idea how to take the competition level in mind, but there s ems to be a lot to be optimistic about here.

Positivrs:
Young
Legit size and frame
Decisive, quick decisions with the ball, seems to know what he wants to do before he gets it
Seems to have good lateral quickness...stays grounded, doesnt leave his feet early, seems to be able to keep guards in front of him
Looks like he can hit the elbow jumper and free throws.

Negatives
Tough to tell his court vision
Not sure hes the best rebounder
Doesnt look Like that explosive for a leaper
Unsure of overall speed


I think best case, i could see similar to marc gasol

Im far from an expert, but my understanding is that the Adriatic Basketball Association is considered just a step below the Spanish League, as the best in Europe (if not the world outside the US)....

Edit: I'll stand corrected. Lots of internet debate on this with Turkish and Greek league ranking, along with the europe-wide Euro-League/ Euro Cup.

Ante Zizic scores 37 and grabs 20 boards in a 2OT win vs MTZ Skopje.

There's a mini-highlight clip of him with a clutch 4th quarter final second block and a dunk to put his team up in the final seconds of the 2nd OT.
