KG's post game interview Game 5 ECF 2012, calling out the Hawks owner after he called KG a dirty player.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbylKs9plgI

Oh man, I forgot about that one. When he straight up looked directly in the camera and said "the owners who talk too much," I about lost it lol

Speaking of that, that dagger three by Pierce in Game 5 in Miami is one of my all-time favorite plays. We nearly pulled off the impossible that year, and we were a historic Lebron James performance at the Garden away from another probable title. The 2012 Boston team is definitely one of my all-time favorite teams. Such underdogs that persevered.

Dude same, I have probably watched that Pierce 3 a few hundred times now! That game had some epic plays, also one of my favorite teams and a playoffs run.

Also remember that Pierce game against the Hawks when Rondo got suspended? He just gave them the Tebow!!

That was one of my favorite years. The Lakers get bounced in the postseason, and the Celtics still advanced to the final four. Too bad we couldn't stop LeBron's super-saiyan mode.

This interview made me a true fan of KG before he was ever a Celtic.  He could have played for the Lakers and I'd still have respected him greatly.  What other superstar in sports history has ever shed tears - in an interview that would be broadcasted on national TV - from the true desire to win?

The passion for winning was real, unlike a lot of stars (of any sport) who act in front of a camera to appease their local sports fans.  This is what made KG a true legend, and it's why we prevailed as champions in 2008.

This one came up as related, perhaps already posted but shows the essence of Kevin Garnett.

Beneath the oftentimes gruff exterior given to his opponents was a love of those closest to him.

Truly an all-time great and - from what I've seen over the years - a fine human being.

KG's Top 50 Plays:

Number 7 has to be his defining Celtics moment.

I forgot just how high his release was that he could legitimately just shoot over anybody.

Not necessarily my favorite but a very fond memory.

Opening Night '07 against the Wizards.  KG's first regular season game with the Celtics. Coincidentally, my first game as a STM. (Had gotten them the day before that ill-fated lottery, anticipating  Oden or Durant)

I'll never forget the electricity in the Garden that night.  So much anticipation & energy.  It was that moment where it was abundantly apparent that the culture of the Celtics had changed for the better.

KG had a monster of a game.  22 points & 20 rebounds.   Became real clear, real quick that this was going to be a special season.

I always thought his defining Celtics moment was this:

can't find the video but when we first got KG, his first game vs the Wolves where it was down to the line, ending where he steals the ball and dives for it at half court

after the game was over, he pops his jersey screaming all over the court. That was my absolute favorite memory of KG, it shows his passion and intensity and his desire to win all in one shot

That's also a pretty notable one.
