  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
My favorite player of all time.

If he had stepped back past the 3 point line for all those long jumpers he'd probably be the greatest 3 point shooting big man of all time too.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Salute to a true Celtic!  We may have to share you but we'll never forget you!

He changed the personality of the franchise.  That's why they are in the position they are now.  Marcus, AB, Terry Rozier, Jae, hell everyone...all cut from KG cloth.  GOAT.

It's time. What a career. We're so lucky to have seen him play here.

Yes, yes we are.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Really? He's be the first guy in with only 1 ring (except for the honoraries)

Sad day but I have only great memories of KG. I'm grateful for his personality, his game, his mentality and the culture he brought back to Boston.

I think his affect is more than stats, rings and longevity when it comes to his time with the Celtics.  Paul was great, Ray as well.  KG changed the culture, everyone that played with him played harder.  I also feel that carried over for years after he was gone.  Defensive intensity is an odd thing.  Guys think they are playing hard and then play with someone like kg.  A whole teams effort goes up.

KG is one of my favorite players of all time. Top 3-5 easy and is still underrated around the internet as far as greatest of all time and great nba big men.  Most don't even list him in the top 10 or so in either category.  He might not be wilt or russell or karrem or even shaq or duncan but he's right there.  I think there are very few players his level. Better than Barkley or Malone.  I think he was better than Olajuwan too.

KG beat those lakers teams and kobe.  Olajuwan and drexler won when Jordan was out of the league.

I fear that he is going to be underrated horribly on lists like that where most won't list him top 30 in a lot of all time polls and rarely in the top 10 big men when he should be in both easy.  I think I'd be very hardpressed to list 20 players better than him all time.  Even 10.

He is a tier 1 player.  He was probably one of the most unselfish ones ever.
