Could this be the end for KG? I really don't think so. It doesn't make much sense for him to leave now and miss out on money this year.

I would love for him to come to Boston and play the Shaq role for us. Even just 10 minutes of hard defense game and his leadership would be huge for us, along with getting a farewell tour in his true home in Boston.  ;)

I could also see him going to LAC with Doc and Paul or even San Antonio to chase one more ring. He'd be a fabulous addition for either of those squads.

Wow.

As much as I'd love him back in BOS I think he's done.

I've never thought of him as a ring-chaser, nor Pierce for that matter. I've always looked at KG, Paul and even Ray as players who loved the game so much that they'd play as long as they thought they could be effective and help a team.

KG would help us with his intangibles and leadership for sure but I think he's done TBH. If it's true then I wish him well in his next phase of life and THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES Big Ticket.

I'll never forget the guy.

Why would they do this just for him to retire?

That's never how it goes.

I could see him go to Clips because of Doc and Paul or even San Antonio because of Pop, but I just don't see him jumping on the GSW bandwagon. Not his way.

Then again, I didn't see KD doing it either.

He's not going anywhere, he's retiring.

It seems kind of uncool that there has to be a buy out though.  KG has made enough money, can't he just retire and leave the $7 million alone?

I'd rather KG had that money than Glen effin Taylor.

I'd be pretty disappointed if he ended up in Golden State. But he doesn't strike me as the type.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Wonder if he's spoken with Pierce. Maybe this means Pierce walks away too?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

well, I don't really believe it either but for his last shot, they are one of the best chances at it all. I would like him to come back but then that drops 2 kids off and if he is still able to go out there, someone loses mins.

It has to be retirement.  All I had read was that he was happy to be there as a mentor and transition into the next generation.  He intended to buy part of the team eventually.  And with Thibs coaching and that team potentially being really good this year, it wouldn't make much sense for him to go ring chase.   Assume retirement.

Is that a joke?
