Better than the current roster?

of course, though that trade is so unrealistic all the way around.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I'm having a hard time picturing a package that lands Anthony Davis that I wouldn't say yes to.

Yea without a doubt. It consolidates all of the players who kind of dont fit the timeline of the "rebuild" for the most talented young player in the nba not named KAT. You have to do it. I think we lose a few more games, but still make the playoffs. AD is a franchise guy, you move mountains for that kind of talent. Also it kind of takes the wind out of the compete against lebron and the warriors immediately and puts it into the "take time" to organically grow.

Two all stars, a likely top 3 pick, and a top notch high rotation awesome defender?

My first thought was "Uh...yeah."

Now I'm not as sure. Davis is a foundational player. Not as sure of those guys.

I'd have to look at the money.

It's a little like trading Duncan for a pick that becomes Laetner, Clarence Weatherspoon, Tim Hardaway, and 30 year old Derrick Coleman if Coleman wasn't crazy and lazy. Like if he was as good as he basically should have been.

Unless the pelicans are tired of rebuilding. I think the pelicans can make the playoffs with this roster. Plus a potential 2017 top 5 pick

Horford
T. Jones
Crowder
Holiday
IT

Asik
Diallo
Hill
Evans
Hield

Terrible deal. I'd nix it. Not worth all that talent going out.

Poor Al Horford.

Yes I would take that deal.

I think it is a very interesting trade idea.  I can't make up my mind on it which is evidence of how interesting.

I think you do this trade if you feel Brown is a future star.  You have the chance to add a third star with the remaining Nets pick (which I would probably try to keep the 2017 and give the 2018).   Then you have a team with 3 young stars plus Smart and Bradley who are not too bad.

Not sure I can convince myself NOP would do this.  I can't think of a reason to trade Davis.  They made the playoffs with 45 wins 2 seasons ago and appeared to be on the rise.  They took a step back last season but why give up on Davis?

I'd do it. But it's not an easy one.

Instead of Laettner, that player could be Zo/Shaq. It goes both ways. Players selected at the top of the draft are supposed to be franchise altering. Also, I like Crowder and his contract WAY more than Clarence Weatherspoon.

I would probably do the deal, but that is a heavy price to pay. New Orleans would be getting like the best haul ever for a single player...by far.

I'd trade whatever it takes. When you consider age and everything else, there isn't a better player in the league to build around.

Anthony Davis is the Shaq in this conversation.
