Ainge deserves credit for staying away from this scrub, despite all the outcry here to pursue him at all cost, including from many who defend Ainge's draft record to the death.

I always thought Josh Smith was overrated also and am glad he never ended up on the Celtics but what does Ainge's draft record have to do with it?

He had a really unique play style that doesn't work in every system.  Similar to someone like Rondo.  Just doesn't work everywhere.
There's nothing unique about killing your team by chucking a large amount of bad shots.

Josh Smith was REALLY good. KG had his hands full with him. He was a great defender and rebounder. Loved that player. Shame he appears to be a clown.

Josh Smith right now, could help the Celtics. I'd love to hear from Josh Smith's teammates in the last few years to hear how he is as a player.  After he left Detroit, he carried Houston in the playoffs.  He clearly didn't perform in LA, but he also wasn't utilized. Some players are volume scorers. Smith has always been that way.

He is at that stage of his career, when he has to adjust his game and become team player. I think he has alot of basketball left.

But I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up overseas.

Still, I'd rather have him over Zeller or Mickey, and in many instances K.O.
especially playoff basketball.

He would be a handy addition.. Roster spots is the problem as always though.

Are Hunter, Young, or Bentil really worth keeping over Josh Smith?  I mean obviously it depends on what Josh Smith looks like, but it isn't like Boston has to cut a useful rotation player to make room for him.
